We hope this checklist will guide you on your journey of helping your kids improve the quality of their interaction with the environment and become more independent. 🌱

🔷 0-6 Months

  • Moves arms and legs in the air when lying on back
  • Pushes body up and hold head when lying on tummy
  • Attempts rolling over
  • Sits unsupported briefly

🔷 6-12 Months

  • Rolls independently from stomach to back and back to stomach
  • Starts to crawl. Rock body when in quadruped.
  • Sits unsupported
  • Stands with support and can furniture cruise a couple steps 

🔷 1-2 Years

  • Walks independently without support. Runs stiffly.
  • Walks up stairs one step at a time while holding onto railing.
  • Able to stand on tiptoes
  • Climbs up and down big furniture like sofa and mattresses independently.
  • Imitates single limb movement. E.g. Gestures “thumbs up” with one hand. 
  • Helps stick out arms and legs when putting on clothes.

🔷 2-3 Years

  • Walks down stairs one step at a time while holding onto railing.
  • Engages in activities that requires more coordination, such as riding a tricycle.
  • Runs well
  • Throws a ball overhead or kicks ball forward.

🔷 3-4 Years

  • Catches ball with arms and body
  • Able to stand on one leg for 3-5 seconds
  • Jumps forward consecutively 3 times.
  • Imitate different movement with different limbs at the same time. E.g. Puts one hand on tummy, one hand on head.
  • Takes off and puts on clothes independently.

🔷 4-5 Years

  • Hops on one foot 3 times.
  • Jumps forward consecutively 5 times.
  • Catches ball with hands
  • Put on pants in standing with the support of furniture

🔷 5-6 Years

  • Performs two movement simultaneously. E.g. Throws ball upon jumping forward.
  • Coordinates well for movements that involves crossing midline. E.g. Tapping right knee with left hand.
  • Begins to jump rope
